It’s that time of year again! These are my favorite discoveries of the last twelve months in makeup and skincare, with an inexpensive option for each one. Some debuted this year while others still reign supreme. Either way, you’re going to want to try them if you haven’t already! Without further ado…

FACE:

Full Coverage Foundation (Splurge) : Kat Von D Lockit Foundation comes in a gazillion shades for every skin tone and covers everything without looking chalky.
Full Coverage Foundation (Steal): L’Oreal Infallible Total Cover Foundation is my favorite drug store full coverage foundation by far.
Contour (Splurge): This Anasastia Beverly Hills Contour Palette has become a staple in my kit because the shades glide on smoothly and don’t look muddy.
Contour (Steal): I randomly discovered this TJ Maxx Contour Palette and love it!
Highlight (Splurge): Chantecaille Liquid Lumiere Highlighting Fluid is my favorite strobing cream.
Highlight (Steal): Sigma Liquid Highlighter in After Glow is ultra-reflective on everyone.
Blush (Splurge): Marc Jacobs Air Blush is like nothing you’ve ever felt before. Just look at the way your brush picks up the fine powder and drapes it along the curves of your face! It must be experienced.
Blush (Steal): Soap & Glory Love at First Blush is a gorgeous kaleidoscope of colors too!

SKIN:

Cleanser (Splurge): If you haven’t discovered By Terry Rose Cleansing Oil yet, you’re in for a big surprise! It moisturizes as it cleans and leaves your skin feeling amazing.
Cleanser (Steal): I created my Amy Nadine Camellia Cleansing Oil to offer an affordable cleansing oil and convert everyone from soap and water, one friend at a time! I developed it with Camellia Oil (a replenishing oil), Calendula extract (super calming), Arnica extract (soothing) and Grapeseed Oil (an antioxidant powerhouse) and even the most acne-prone sufferers not only can use it, but will actually see their skin calm down and stop producing extra oil. While the dry-skin sufferers will get much-needed moisture instead of having it stripped of it from soap. You can still find a few left at Costco or the link above and I’ll do a tutorial soon to show how you use it without splashing! It’s a game changer in happy skin.
Moisturizer (Splurge): I can’t live without Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream in my kit to instantly revive my clients skin.
Moisturizer (Steal): Super Salve Mimosa Blossom Dream Cream will change your life in the winter months.

EYE:

Liner (Splurge): If you haven’t tried a gel liner pen yet, you’re missing out! I love MAC Rebeleyes Gel Liner.
Liner (Steal): NYX Tres Jolie Gel Pencil is a steal.
Shadow (Splurge): When I finally got my hands on the Hourglass Modernist Palette, I literally squealed! It is absolutely gorgeous in the compact and more importantly, on the eye.
Shadow (Steal): I love Covergirl Roses TruNaked Eyeshadow Palette as a less pricey alternative.
Mascara (Splurge): The wand from Lancome Grandiose Extreme Mascara is like nothing you’ve ever tried before and it’s hard to go back to a regular one after you get the hang of it. And this one is on sale!
Mascara (Steal): If you are cool with using a shorter handle, you can get an expensive mascara for the price of a drug store one! I mean, it’s about the formula and the bristles any way. And Too Faced’s Better Than Sex Mascara is almost better than sex.
Brow (Splurge): Now that we are finally moving away from the stenciled, “drag queen” brow, create a feathered brow that darkens the hairs while keeping the skin showing behind them. I love Yves Saint Laurent Couture Brows to do just that.
Brow (Steal): Maybelline Eye Studio Brow Drama Sculpting Brow Mascara (say that five times fast) is gorgeous too.

LIP:

Matte (Splurge): OK lovelies, this Christian Louboutin Matte Lip is an extreme splurge, but it feels so decadent to pull it out of your handbag and apply it out with your friends!
Matte (Steal): This NYX Matte Lipstick is friendlier to your wallet.
Gloss (Splurge): Lancome Juicy Shaker Pigment Infused Bi Phased Lip Oil is like nothing you’ve ever felt on your lips before.
Gloss (Steal): Well this Clinique Pop Oil Lip and Cheek Glow is a borderline steal but it works as blush too!

A New Year’s Day Breakfast Roundup! by PW Food & Friends

By now, you’re probably all set for that New Year’s Eve shindig. Got the champagne chilling, your outfit selected, noisemakers and party hats at the ready, and the menu for the night has been signed, sealed and delivered. You’re more than ready to ring in the new year. Hooray! Let the festivities begin!

Then morning comes. And guess what? You’re hungry again. But it’s the first day of the new year, and you want your year to start with a good breakfast. (Who are we kidding? Brunch. It’ll be New Year’s Day brunch because we’re all sleeping in.)

Some of you may already have New Year’s Day breakfast or brunch traditions, and if you do, we’d love to hear them. But if you haven’t yet decided what to make that first morning, here are a few suggestions!

Make Ahead & Freeze Breakfast Sandwiches. Making breakfast in advance is especially helpful when you have a house full of overnight guests. Which means you can go ahead and hit that snooze button a few more times!

Smoked Salmon & Dill Breakfast Hash. A hearty, healthy and elegant dish. Make extra—you’ll want more for lunch.

Peach Dutch Baby. All the goodness of a pancake in one pan, and watching it puff up as it bakes never gets old! This recipe works with gluten-free flour as well. (If you need to avoid all grain, Erica has a waffle recipe for you, too.)

Fluffy Whipped Blueberry Butter. Sometimes, a special condiment or spread can make your breakfast an instant hit. Slather this on toast, pancakes or waffles (they’ll instantly elevate store-bought ones!), scones, muffins, and anything else that can benefit from a little sweet butter. Which is pretty much everything, really. (Same goes for this Mock Devonshire or Clotted Cream.)

Brunch Nachos. Chips, cheese, corn, guac, eggs. Because who said the partying was over?

Banana Bread Griddle Cakes. These may not have any gluten, dairy, or eggs, but boy oh boy. They’re so good, maybe Ree won’t even notice the bananas. Maybe.

Un avance de la primavera 2017 de Primark

Hoy te presentamos un avance de la moda más casual para esta próxima Primavera 2017 de la firma de moda Primark, muchas de las prendas estarán en breve disponibles a la venta en las tiendas físicas de la firma que a día de hoy no dispone de venta online.

Moda casual, sencilla pero siguiendo algunas de las tendencias de moda de la temporada, esto es lo que propone Primark en su nueva colección y lookbook para mujer Primavera 2016.

Las blusas y camisas que dejan los hombros al descubierto son un must have obligado para la primavera, la firma de moda low cost las presenta en estampados a rayas en colores pastel, en blanco y en colores pastel. Los jeans y en general la moda denim viene de estilo retro donde la cazadora vaquera oversize de los años 90 se impone junto con las camisas vaqueras y los pantalones vaqueros de corte recto, tobilleros y deshilachados.

La firma para mujer en su nuevo catálogo propone vestidos camiseros, especialmente nos gusta el de color verde militar. Junto a ellos vemos las sudaderas con mensaje, los cárdigans extra large, las faldas midi plisadas y las blusas de estampados muy naive.
