Nada más entrar en el atelier de Inés Martín Alcalde lo supe: este sitio es especial. Empezando por la propia diseñadora, Inés, que desprende una energía y una ganas que sorprenden, y terminando por el lugar en sí. Telas antiguas e ideales colgando de cada puerta y armario, flores, vestidos, diseños…Inspiración.
El mundo de las novias es muy complejo y la oferta para elegir un diseñador o tienda donde hacerte el vestido de tus sueños es muy amplia, pero a veces, encuentras lugares en los que piensas “si me casara me lo haría aquí sin duda”. Eso mismo pensé cuando conocí a Inés Martín Alcalde y sus diseños. Románticos, femeninos, elegantes. Cada pieza es única y eso es precisamente lo que los hace muy especiales.
Siempre lo tuvo claro y después de estudiar en las escuelas de moda más importantes del mundo y trabajar en Navascués, se tiró a la piscina y emprendió su propio camino: diseñar trajes de novia. Una profesión que le apasiona y cuyos resultados saltan a la vista.
¿Por qué te hiciste diseñadora?
La moda siempre ha sido parte de mi. Desde pequeña he vivido la moda como algo cercano, muy presente en el día a día de mi familia. Toda la vida se han dedicado a la moda, crearon un concepto nuevo de viajes y ropa de aventura.
Recuerdo visitar anticuarios y ferias con mi abuelo comprando lotes donde siempre aparecían encajes. Jugaba a transformar esos tejidos en vestidos. Decidida a dedicarme a la moda, estudié Diseño de Moda en el Istituto Marangoni de Londres y completé mi formación con un curso de estampados en Saint Martins London school of Arts.
¿Qué aprendiste de tu paso por Navascués? ¿Por qué finalmente decidiste establecerte por tu cuenta?
La verdad es que llegué al mundo de las novias por casualidad. Empecé diseñando estampados y casi sin quererlo me enamoré del mundo de las novias, tras mis cuatro años en Navascués.
Por mis venas corre sangre emprendedora pero no ha sido hasta que se han alineado los astros que he podido crear, junto a una de mis intimas amigas, Inés Martín Alcalde. De pronto todo ha encajado como un puzzle y estoy encantada con los resultados y el apasionante recorrido que tiene esta firma.
Has montado tu propia marca y estás cosechando mucho éxito, ¿te queda alguno por cumplir? ¿Dónde te ves de aquí a 10 años?
Inés Martín Alcalde es un sueño hecho realidad, estoy impaciente por ver que más me deparará el futuro. En 10 años me sigo viendo creando ilusión a través de mis diseños.
¿En qué o quién te inspiras para diseñar?
Lo que más me inspira a la hora de diseñar es la propia novia; Ibiza, mi lugar de desconexión donde saco la mayoría de mis ideas y compro muchas de mis telas; mis viajes, con los colores de las ciudades y su gente; ver como trabajan las telas en otros países.
¿A quién te gustaría vestir de novia?
Sin duda alguna me hubiese gustado vestir de novia a Audrey Hepburn y a Freida Pinto.
¿Por qué una futura novia debería elegir tus diseños y no otros?
Lo que me diferencia del resto de diseñadores es que para mi cada novia es única y especial. Me involucro no sólo en el proceso de creación de su vestido, sino en todo lo que rodea el día más importante de su vida. Me divierte mucho. A cada novia le compro piezas únicas que hacen que su vestido sea exclusivo.
Entre todos los diseños que te solicitan…¿Hay alguna tendencia que se repita o tenga más éxito?
Todos mis vestidos tienen un toque romántico, si bien, cada uno tiene detalles antiguos únicos que le diferencian del resto.
¿Cómo es tu vestido de novia perfecto?
Con un toque elegante, romántico y sutil, pero sin olvidar que es una novia.
¿Puedes resumir tus diseños en 1 frase?
Tienen una línea muy romántica y personal, centrado en potenciar lo mejor de cada novia, con detalles auténticos que hacen de cada diseño una pieza única sin perder la elegancia y el concepto de novia.

La firma francesa Promod, que no está pasando precisamente por uno de sus mejores momentos, acaba de presentar sus nuevas propuestas de cara a estas Navidades 2016, look festivos siempre con un toque casual.
En cuanto a prendas de outwear la firma de moda para mujer sigue las tendencias mayoritarias en moda y apuesta por la bómber que viene en colores metalizados, muy glitter y en estampados florales de estilo oriental. A ella se suma el clásico abrigo militar de grandes solapas y en verde que hemos visto en numerosas colecciones de moda de las firmas low cost.
Para las noches más festivas la firma Promod para mujer apuesta por las lentejuelas en vestidos midi, el estilo romántico con encajes y transparencias, el juego de aberturas en la espalda en vestidos glitter, las prendas lenceras, las faldas midi metalizadas y el juego de encajes y transparencias en tops.
Los looks más casual de la colección vienen de la mano de las camisas a cuadros, los pantalones skinny tobilleros, los jerseys con detalles de pedrería, los clásicos vestidos de la firma, rectos y sueltos, que vienen con estampados en rojo y los cárdigans.
El calzado para mujer que acompaña los nuevos looks de Promod es básico: zapatillas deportivas en blanco, salones en negro, zapatos masculinos y botines negros de tacón.

Twice-baked potatoes have always been a staple in our family. My grandma would make a large batch every Christmas dinner, and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on one of the crispy-skinned, delicious whipped potatoes topped with melted (and sometimes golden!) cheese.
It was for this reason alone that I declared to anyone who asked that potatoes were my favorite food.
I like to think of twice-baked potatoes as potato skins on steroids. The outside skin gets a little crispy, but you get mashed potatoes inside! And there usually is cheese and sometimes even bacon involved. Ooh. I get excited just thinking about them!
When I got married, I vowed to make twice-baked potatoes more than just once a year. So I started with a basic, traditional twice-baked potato base (recipe below!) and added some of my favorite flavors. That made it easier to feature them more regularly in our meal rotation.
Here are my 3 favorite versions!
Mash a few crumbles of blue cheese into the potato mixture and spoon it inside the potato skins. Then top with the garlicky spinach, more blue cheese, and crispy, crunchy bacon.
This flavor combo is my spirit animal. Plus, it has spinach, so it has to be healthy. Obviously.
Mash goat cheese into the potato filling and spoon inside the potato skins. Crumble more goat cheese on top of the filling. Pile high with mushrooms and sprinkle with your favorite fresh herbs (I like a mix of basil, sage, oregano and cilantro).
It’s the best kind of flavor explosion.
This. Is. So. Wonderful. And it also works with butternut squash puree!

This baked treat combines the gooey, melty experience of Crème Eggs with the satisfying cakeyness of muffins while keeping macros in check.
Ingredients (Makes 8)
Method
Combine all dry ingredients and slowly fold in wet ingredients. Preheat oven to 175°C. Pre-spray baking sheet and line tins (a mini muffin tin is ideal). Pour in mixture and place in oven for 10 minutes. At 10-minute mark, stuff each cake with one piece of Cadbury filled chocolate (e.g. a strawberry or pineapple piece of Snack). Place in oven for another eight to 10 minutes. As soon as cakes are done, place in freezer for five minutes and serve. Store remaining cakes in fridge or container and microwave to melt centres for serving.
Nutrition info (per cake)
Without chocolate piece: 428 kJ // 3 g fat // 9 g carb // 7 g protein
With chocolate piece: 590 kJ // 5 g fat // 14 g carb // 7 g protein
