Oh, do I love a lab.

 
I also love hunger green! But I’m trying to figure out a different thing to call it other than hunter green, because that reminds me of country blue, and that reminds me of mauve.

Although, have you ever seen a really true mauve? It’s less about dirty lavender and more about light red-purple and I love it.

I have an issue with color, not sure if you knew.

I’m glad we had this talk.

 
I had to take a really short trip a couple of weeks ago, and I passed by Heaven on my way there.

 
And Lake Mead, too! Wow, our country is beautiful.

 
Bryce is playing high school football now, so it’s Friday Night Lights for us. Because we have sort of a smaller/younger team, he is getting to play a lot, which is great for him, great for me, and terrible for me.

I’m one of those gymnastic parents who sits on the edge of their seat and twists, turns, and wigs out the whole time.

 
The Merc has been great! School has started now, so the busy-ness/craziness of summer has diminished a little bit. We’ve gotten a chance to get caught up…

 
And have a sidewalk sale! We’re doing it every Wednesday in September.

Magazine update! My new fall issue is starting to show up in stores, and its official release date is September 12! It’s at Walmart, of course, but also at most Barnes & Noble stores, Walgreens, CVS, Books-a-Million, Sam’s Club, and Costco. This one will be on newsstands only, but I can finally confirm that we will be able to do subscriptions with the next issue, issue #3.

I’ve had them for years, the soles are falling apart, but they have become a part of me. I love them.

And I love you guys. I hope you’ve all been good. My heart has been with everyone in Texas and Louisiana over the past two weeks, and I’m so sad for the folks of south Florida for having to evacuate and fear the worst. My continual love and prayers are with everyone who is facing fear, uncertainty, danger…I just can’t imagine.
